    Overview

    The innovative DK-SA 850 downhole sand monitoring device features a new tool architecture, integrating advanced sensor design, signal processing technology, and analytical algorithms to accurately detect downhole sand ingress points and assess sand production rates in different flow areas. This monitoring device can seamlessly connect with the DK HD Platform production service platform, advancing traditional logging techniques into a new phase: sand multi-phase production logging. The compact tool is compatible with cable and tractor delivery systems, suitable for various operational environments.

    Advantages

    l   Robust, real-time, high-sensitivity measurement.

    The digital downhole detection and processing system provides enhanced sensitivity to sand particles in the wellbore. The DK-SA 850 downhole  sand  monitoring  device  has  high resolution, capable of detecting individual particles as small as 25μm, and its sensing elements are unaffected by background noise from tool movement, underground disturbances, fluid, or gas jetting.

     

    l   Advanced Analysis and Processing

    The efficient interpretation algorithm of the DK-SA 850 downhole sand monitoring device distinguishes different particles by analyzing particle size and the amplitude of sound signals.

    This algorithm applies intelligent threshold technology for quality monitoring of counting results and detection rates, providing confidence assessments for production rates. Compared to traditional surface applications using filters or acoustic detection sensors, the DK-SA 850 offers more precise measurement results. Sand particle count data can be further converted into

    sand production volume and rates based on known particle size and density.
